Business Ethics: Company and Ethics

Due Date: April 21 at 11:30 PM. Submit through Brightspace "Assignment" Folder.

For this assignment, students will analyze an assigned company and an ethical case pertaining to the company (refer to your book for topics discussed during the semester). Students will work individually. Students must identify an ethical dilemma involving the company. Conduct research to identify the stakeholders' perspective, how the company presents itself to the public. Analyze the dilemma, identify the problem, all stakeholders impacted by the situation, and indicate an appropriate course of action. Students must refer to pertinent laws discussed during the semester. In addition, students must make suggestions for developing an ethics program that could guide the organization and encourage ethical conduct. The presentation should be cohesive. The presentation must be written following APA guidelines (7th edition). For information regarding APA guidelines, refer to http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/560/01/

Students must cite at least 5 sources. Do not refer to Wikipedia. 

Include a title slide, a reference slide, stakeholder analysis matrix, ethical dilemma addressed (see above), laws and regulations pertaining to the case, suggested ethics program, and conclusion.

NOTE: Minimum 7 slides. Maximum 10 slides. Focus on content.

I will not accept late submissions.

Students who fail to turn in their work will earn ZERO points for the assignment.

Presentation assigned on March 5. Due date April 21.

The presentation options: Power Point and/or a pre-recorder presentation. Students will present to the class on an assigned date. Deliver a 10-minute presentation (this includes Q & A).

The assignment will be graded based on a grading rubric prepared for this course.

Presentations will take place during class and finals week.

The oral presentation accounts for 10% of the final grade.
